“I invite you to withdraw for a moment in silence. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed. Sit tall keeping your head aligned with your back straight. Relax your shoulders, arms and legs, keeping your spine erect without being rigid. Breathe gently and deeply through your nostrils and with each exhale, allow yourself to relax even more, emptying yourself of any worry, desire or agitation. Allow yourself to listen to the silence and when something breaks it, welcome it without judgment. Remain in this field of silence, even if at times it is filled with sounds that come and go. Focus your complete attention on the silence you are listening to which is permanent and don't bother yourself with the transient sounds that interrupt it. Don’t judge them; don’t think about them - just let them pass. If you can keep the focus of attention on the silence, you will see, through this simple exercise your awareness expands and you get to experience calmness, even if it’s just a few drops. This tranquility is one of the fragrances of peace.”
