Via Sri Prem Baba – Awaken Love / Flower of the Day: 03/11/17

“On the path of self-knowledge, healing crises are inevitable. Here, to heal means to free oneself from the past in order to live well in the present moment. Therefore, at some point, you may relive unpleasant situations and annihilating and terrifying feelings in order to purify hurts and resentments that are stored in your system and that still sabotage your happiness today. When this happens, you may need to release and cry. At this time, I suggest you withdraw yourself from the external world as much as possible and seek to cultivate silence. In this way, it will be easier to deal with the whirlwind of negative feelings that may emerge. Additionally, to facilitate the process, you can use pranayama, a yogic breathing technique. This practice will help release the energetic knots that prevent the flow of vital energy and will also help weaken the ego’s defenses.”

No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we can always set our compass to our highest intentions in the present moment. Perhaps it is nothing more than being in a heated conversation with another person and stopping to take a breath and ask yourself, “What is my highest intention in this moment?”
