Via Sri Prem Baba – Awaken Love / Flower of the Day: 03/16/17

“The river flows towards the sea, but in order to do so, it first needs to start somewhere. At a certain point, the water springs from the earth and begins its journey towards the sea. A long journey ensues until its ultimate goal can be reached. Certain groups of souls are at the beginning of this journey, while other groups are nearing the moment where the river merges into the ocean. Outwardly these groups have different purposes and they express themselves in varying ways in the world, but no one purpose is better than another. The higher purpose is always the same: to express love. What differs is the form through which this love is expressed.”

That’s exactly what happens in sitting in stillness in Zen. You’re simply soaked in that divine love that is beyond words, and you allow it to fill you, inundate you, and move you so that you can live a life grounded on that, offering yourself to others.
