Via Daily Dharma: Experiential Aspiration

I have much gratitude for Daily Dharma. Each offering is like a seed, growing into a forest. I keep each and every quote, so I can explore this forest and learn from the trees how to be in this world. It's a hard time to be a human, and every quote is like a lamp of hope and a guidepost.

Every day of the year, our editors select the most inspiring quotes from Tricycle's archive to help you face the challenges of everyday life. If you find value in our Daily Dharma newsletters, please consider donating to our annual fundraising campaign and help us continue to offer life-guiding free teachings.

As a nonprofit, we rely on readers like you to keep Daily Dharma and other free resources going. Every contribution helps us share Buddhist teachings to all, regardless of means.

This year, if you donate $30 or more, we'll send you a week's worth of bite-sized practices that expand on that day's Daily Dharma. The week-long series will begin October 14.

Thank you for being an integral part of the Tricycle community.

With deepest gratitude,
The Tricycle Team

Experiential Aspiration

Zen’s aspiration is experiential, not academic. You don’t have to prove the existence of a god before you commit yourself to living a good life. Otherwise, you may never get started.
