In 2010, for the first time ever,
CNN found the majority of Americans (52%) believed same-sex couples
have a constitutional right to marry. Not just support same-sex couples
who want to marry, but have a constitutional right.
Those results have been confirmed in poll after poll since. In February, that number jumped to 63 percent.
This weekend, Tea Party Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio
told those 63 percent of Americans – 201.6 million Americans, based on
recent census numbers – that their beliefs are "ridiculous and absurd."
