From documentarian Sayre Quevedo comes a new six-part audio memoir chronicling twin brothers Sayre and Connor’s search for their biological father on the eve of their 30th birthday. Their search pulls them through desert raves, drunken nightclubs, and across borders of time and language — forcing the brothers to confront the truths they’ve hidden from each other and themselves. And it’s not long before they discover that their birth father is closer than they ever could have imagined.
Some of biggest names in podcasting are already weighing in: Daniel Alarcón, from Radio Ambulante, calls it “a whole new genre: the nonfiction audio memoir” delivered with radical transparency and honesty. Avery Trufelman, from Articles of Interest, calls it “poetic and funny, personal and transcendent... absolutely necessary listening for anybody with heart.” And Nichole Hill, from Our Ancestors Were Messy, said “it’s been a long time since I heard something that felt this honest and still cinematic… it all just felt so honest, and I loved it.”
