How to Prepare for Death and Dying
Facing death is not easy. Many of us carry fears about our own death and the death of those we love. Yet it’s an unavoidable part of life. Our newest online course faces death head-on, offering Buddhist wisdom to help you prepare, both spiritually and practically.

Whether you’re anticipating the death of a loved one, preparing for your own death, or just want to get more comfortable with the idea of death, our new course from Zen teacher and palliative care nurse Sallie Jiko Tisdale helps you ask important questions and offers a supportive path that you can follow at your own pace.

“This can be a difficult topic to face,” says Sallie. “[But] facing the fact that life is finite is one of the most important lessons of a spiritual practice. This course draws on spiritual thinking, especially that of Zen Buddhism, and covers the many practical concerns we have as death approaches.”

Throughout a total of six weeks, you’ll explore acceptance and denial, planning and preparing, the moment of death, and the grieving process in a supportive and gentle container.

How to Prepare for Death and Dying begins November 9, but you can start any time after that date and go at your own pace. Learn more about the course and enroll here.
