What a stupa is
A stupa is prayer given physical form. Its shape traces the path from earth to enlightenment. Inside, each is sealed with sacred texts, relics, and blessed substances. Once consecrated, it is no longer stone and earth but a presence, radiating blessing and peace to all who pass by. Along the Mau River, 108 of them, each fifteen meters tall, will stand in a procession twelve kilometers long. Work that would ordinarily take years will be completed together in a single day. Why one day
When tens of thousands of hands hold one intention and act in one moment, the act itself becomes the offering. At a moment when so much pulls the world apart, the most powerful thing we can do may be the simplest: to come together and show that another way is possible. The stupas will remain for centuries. The raising of them, together, is the prayer. An invitation Wherever in the world you are, join us on November 1st by live broadcast. As the stupas rise, set your own intention for peace and let it rise with them—one of thousands that day, across every border. Sign up to receive the link. If you wish, an offering of any size becomes part of the whole—the stupas, their sacred contents, their consecration—and may be dedicated to a loved one or all beings. However far away you are, we hope you will join us in this shared vision. |
